The acoustical and vibration engineering services provided by ISE are designed to provide assistance to groups and individuals requiring a timely solution to both large and small scale problems. Projects where frequency response and operational performance are critical, will find our services indispensable.

Our acoustics and vibration laboratory is traceable to standards set forth by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). ISE maintains its own in-house GPS synchronized Rubidium-87 atomic time and frequency standard with an accuracy of greater than 1x10-10 seconds.

The shock wave is clearly visible at the 1:00 min mark as a white cloud above the end of the pipe and produces an acoustic overpressure of close to 140 dB - which is as loud as a rocket engine.
